I currently have ENVTEX 1.1.0 installed. I noticed how ENVTEX 1.1.1 was just released and I also just bought ENVSHADE to try it out. What is the correct/best way upgrading ENVTEX and installing ENVSHADE? First uninstall the current version of ENVTEX or can I install ENVTEX 1.1.1 on top of the existing version? And what about ENVSHADE, is the order of importance whether I install ENVSHADE before or after ENVTEX? And finally what about this ENVDIR? Is that something I need to download from here because the only installer I got over at SimMarket was a file called TOGA_ENVSHADE_P3D.exe. Thanks in advance for some guidance to get this right on the first try with some luck

Hello webmaximus, It is highly advised to uninstall Envtex 1.1.0 first, but this is probably the last time before a long time you will have to do this thanks to Envupdater. About the install order between Envtex, Envshade and Envdir, it actually doesn't matter as all of them are installed separately from each others. Envdir can be downloaded separately from our website but if you don't have the necessary version, the simmarket installer should start the download automatically for you (Envtex requires Envdir 1.1.1.5 released today as well). Hope this helps

Hello,
The new installation of ENVTEX has .BIN files associated with the download. They download as .PDF files. The installation instructions simply state that after all three files are downloaded to run the .exe file. That isn't working for me. Can you tell me whether I need to extract the .bin files before running the .exe? If so, can you recommend software to extract the bin files? Thank you for your work on these products which enhance our simulation experience.

KJAX,
No need to extrract the .BIN files. Just ensure all three files are in the same location and then run the exe file ( run as admin is best).

Thanks for your response; I'm sure I am doing something incorrectly because the installation isn't working for me. When I download the .BIN files, they are downloaded as Adobe Acrobat documents (with file names: TOGA_ENVTEX_FS9FSXP3D-1.bin). Should that be the case? When I run the .exe file I am asked to insert disc 1 and click OK.

Check the correct filename. In my case I tried to download with Firefox which failed. Afterwards I did the download with Chrome download manager, yet the filename was xxx.bin (1). You need to rename the two bin files as orignal, so get rid of "-space-(1)" and it should work
